The fall season's first 'wintery' storm is sailing into Western Montana this weekend. It will bring welcome showers, but snow and wind will likely knock down much of our fall foliage. The aspens are already done, the cottonwoods are showy, and the tamaracks (Western Larch) are contemplative. Their color season is mid- to late-October. Fall colors, along with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas displays in stores remind us that the holiday season, followed by 2026, is rapidly approaching.

If you are considering year-end shopping for yourself or others, a gift that keeps on giving (At least for a year!) is the 2026 Butte, Montana, Head Frames Calendar. The calendar offers twelve beautiful images of Butte, Montana's iconic mine head frames that are sure to add color to your office or household wall.

2026 Butte Headframes Calendar

The Belmont headframe (built over a 4,300-ft deep vertical shaft) is the 2026 Headframes Calendar cover. The adjacent historic Belmont Hoist House has been renovated into a Senior Citizen Center. Head Frames Wall Calendars are printed on 12" x 18", 80lb silk-finish cover stock and bound at the top to easily hang on a wall. Each image is suitable for framing, so you can enjoy them after each month has run its course.
